Yarning Along again with Ginny over at her blog small things. I am working on a birthday knit for Abi. A sweet little short sleeve sweater. I am going to make her a twirly skirt to go along with it. Love this Noro Yarn! So soft and beautiful! I am reading Large Family Logistics, by Kim Brenneman. It has a lot of good practical, biblical advice for moms with large families. Not sure if I fall in that category but it has really helped me immensely. In the next few days I plan to post about our chore routine and MY new routine which has helped my days be more organized and less stressed.

Yarn Along
I am knitting along once again. Not much time to post much else lately it seems. I just cast on today for a short sleeve shirt for Abi with this pretty Noro yarn. This will be a birthday gift for her. I have plans to make her a skirt to go along with it. Her birthday is the end of March so I have plenty of time.

Knit Along
I finished Abi's sweater. While it does not have the buttons(or toggles as was Abi's request) yet it is finished. Isn't she adorable?
Joining Ginny over at her blog Small Things for another great yarn along!

School Days
I like our school days to begin with the kitchen cleaned up and everything ready to go. However most days don't go this way. But it's nice once in awhile right?
Right.
I have gotten Abi some Explode the Code workbooks. She is really loving them.
Eva usually gets into trouble while we are trying to get some school done. Everything from playing in the bathroom sink, to applying bandaids in my bathroom, to looking at books. I just got her a few new books to make her a book basket that is special just for school time. We are going to start the "book basket" tomorrow. We will see how that goes.
Gabriella my little chubster, loves to hang on my legs, nurse, or sit on my lap during school time. She is so much more a mamas girl than any of my other kids were. She wants to be with me all the time it seems. She is starting to venture out and play with the other kids, but she sure loves her mommy. I try and plan school time to happen when she is down for her morning nap, but lately she has been skipping that, making it a bit harder.
Micah is really doing well, and enjoying school. We have implemented a few new things and he really seems to be catching on with reading. One thing we got is the moveable alphabet. I want to make a middle vowel set to go with it, but I am having a hard time finding a list of words that are good.... and then I have to find the pictures, print them, cut them out and laminate them. I am starting to think it might be better to just buy it. Is that lazy?
Here is Micah's nature journal with his illustration of the North Star, Big and Little Dipper.
In the afternoons the kids just play in the house when it is really cold out. They have been big on making tents or forts lately. This day was in the girls room. We had a big one set up in the living room the day before.
I am trying to come up with things for them to do in the afternoon to "help" or "create". This day they got to do both, and they got to eat it. Fresh peach smoothies were so tasty.
