I just began reading "My Antonia." I haven't read enough to see how well I will like it, but I will get there I'm sure.
I am knitting away at Eva's shrug. I made one for Gabriella, and the girls have all requested one. Well, Elise has not, but the girls want me to make her one to match them. So, I am almost done with 2 out of 4. These may become gift knits for certain nieces at Christmas too.
I also have plans for a puerperium cardigan. This is for the new baby who is 7 1/2 weeks in the womb. We are excited for this baby #6, even if we get crazy looks from people. I want to knit up a bunch of diaper covers, and who knows what else. Definetly hats, lots of hats. This will be a January baby, so I get to use all this wonderful wool. How fun!

Hurray for peculiar! You just nod and smile at those looks, knowing that you are sowing a rich garden of love. Your family is beautiful.
I Love the idea of matching shrugs and it's so sweet that the biggers want the littler to have one too. :)
Blessings, Debbie
Congratulations on expecting #6!! That is so exciting! We are expecting #2 and #3 (two for the price of one, hehe!), so I am going to be doing some baby knitting soon as well. I made a puerperium for my first and loved it.
I really love both colors that you're working with, especially the blue.
Hmm...I thought I commented here already...Well, I'll say again that I love that we're reading the same book! My library copy came due before I finished but now I'm reading it again. :)
Have fun with the baby knitting!! Such joy!
P.S. I adore the family photo at the top - what a beautiful bunch!
